Dr. Michael Pazzani
Dr. Michael Pazzani is the Vice President for Research and Graduate and Professional Education at RutgersUniversity where he also holds the position of Professor of Computer Science. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA and conducts research in data mining, personalization,information retrieval, and cognitive science. He is an elected fellow of the American Association of Artificial intelligence. He has served as chair ofInformation and Computer Science at UC Irvine, Director of Information andIntelligent Systems for the National Science Foundation, a member of theBoard of Regents of the National Library of Medicine, a member ofMicrosoft's technical advisory board for Internet Search, a member of theBoard of Directors of Combichem (NASDAQ:CCHM) and CEO of AdaptiveInfo.
Dr. Randal Pinkett
Dr. Pinkett is Chairman and CTO of BCT Partners and winner of NBC’s The Apprentice” with Donald Trump. Dr. Pinkett holds five academic degrees including the following: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, that he completed with a 3.9 GPA while serving as President of MEET, the Rutgers Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and Captain of the Rutgers University Varsity Men's Track and Field team competing as a high jumper and long jumper; Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science from Oxford University, England as a Rhodes Scholar; Master of Science (S.M.) in Electrical Engineering from the MIT School of Engineering and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the MIT Sloan School of Management as a participant in the MIT Leaders for Manufacturing (LFM) Program; and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the MIT Media Laboratory. Most notably, Dr. Pinkett made history as the first African-American ever to receive a Rhodes Scholarship at RutgersUniversity.
Dr. Tomasz Imielinski
Dr. Tomasz Imielinski is an Executive Vice President, Global Search and Answers, at Ask.com. Dr. Imielinski is also a professor at RutgersUniversity in the Dept. of Computer Science (currently on leave). From 1996 until 2003, he served as chairman of theComputer Science department. Prior to joining Ask.com, Imielinski co-founded Connotate Technologies, Inc., a leader in data extraction from the Web and Enterprise. Imielinski holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the PolishAcademy of Science and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Poland's Politechnic of Gdansk.
