Rutgers Corporate Computing Day 2008 Thursday, September 25th, 2008 from 12:00 to 4:30 pm Thank you to our sponsors, speakers, students, and faculty who made Corporate Computing Day 2008 a great success! We had over 400 student registrations, and many poster boards showing the great talents of our community. Images from 2008's Corporate Computing Day
The Rutgers Corporate Computing Day provides a unique spin to introduce companies to Rutgers' most important asset - its students. The Corporate Day approach is to introduce a select number of companies to students' current research. Instead of limiting the interaction to simply a resume, Corporate Day uses a mixture of social interaction, company presentations, and student poster board sessions to focus on research that is important to today's business. Faculty, students and alumni from Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and Library and Information Science will present research that spans the gamut from Sensor Networks to Cryptography and more. In addition, faculty and staff will be on hand to discuss our programs of direct research sponsorship so that companies may take advantage of specific technologies right away, even while the student is still at Rutgers, providing a cost effective and seamless transition from the ivory tower to R&D.
There will also be talks by Dr. Randal Pinkett, Chairman and CTO of BCT Partners, and Dr. Tomasz Imielinski, Senior VP of Search Technology at Ask.com and Professor of Computer Science at Rutgers University. Download our latest flyer.
